SCHOOL NEWS


Summer School is Cool!! Registration is now open for Summer School 2026.
Classes begin Tuesday, June 2, 2026 and conclude Tuesday, June 30, 2026. No classes will be held on Friday, June 19, as we mark the Juneteenth federal holiday.
TK through 4th grade students will attend classes at one of three campuses:
- Students currently attending Barstow Fine Arts Academy, Crestline and Henderson will take classes at Barstow Fine Arts Academy
- Students currently attending Cameron or Montara will take classes at Cameron Elementary
- Students currently attending Lenwood or Skyline North will take classes at Lenwood Elementary
Instruction will be designed to provide intervention for students at-risk. Classes will begin at 8:15 a.m. and dismissal will be at 1:15 p.m.
Students in grades 5 through 8 will attend classes at Barstow Junior High School (BJHS) and participate in our Bridge Program, which is designed to prepare incoming students with the skills they need to achieve at the next grade level.
Credit recovery classes will be offered to all students in grades 9 through 12. Students in grades 9-12 will attend classes online. Students requesting help with their online courses may go to the BJHS campus to meet with an instructor.
Special Education students in grades TK-12 will enjoy an extended school year.
TK-8th grade students will have the opportunity to attend a field trip to Barstow Station Cinema and attend science assemblies "What's the Matter" and "The Invisible Wonder."
Bus transportation will be offered. Schedules will be made available at busdk12.com closer to the beginning of instruction.
Students MUST currently be enrolled with Barstow USD.

Paper enrollment forms are available in all school offices and at the BUSD Central Enrollment Center, located at 551 South Avenue H.


The window for the 2025-2026 Annual Update of Student Information is open. Please sign into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account and complete the Annual Update. Completion of the Annual Update is required in order for your student to pick up their schedule for the upcoming school year. If you do not have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, please visit our district website, click on the Infinite Campus widget, and fill out the “Create New Account or Reset Password” form. This form can also be completed if you need your parent portal password reset. If you are using your phone, please visit our district website, click on the three lines in the upper left corner, scroll down to Quicklinks, tap the "+", then select Infinite Campus from the dropdown menu and fill out the "Create New Account or Reset Password" form.

PARENTS, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE A CLOSED CAMPUS. FOR SAFETY REASONS, PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON CAMPUS TO WALK THEIR CHILD TO CLASS. THANK YOU.
- Staff will be assigned a duty spot to ensure student safety and to assist with directing students.
- Students may enter the campus at 8:15am and will be directed to the MPR. Breakfast will be served until 8:40am.
